This 8T was going to be my 3rd device, but now I am going to return my 8T and get a samsung s20, most likely would be a boring phone but at least I can get my questions answered by samsung and when I call samsung support they don't offer me a return label. Thanks to those who provided some clarity here, shame on OnePlus for failing to support their products. When I saw this thread earlier today I realized that I am not the only one who has the question about the battery capacity with 8T. That's when I realized most likely the apps can't detect the second battery. Last night I got like 8 hours of screen time and I had about 20% charge left. I realized if I have talked to a bag of potatoes, most likely I would get some sort sort of answer regarding the battery capacity on my device. A good brand would always tries to provide some support to the customer instead of telling them you can return the device.
I don't how they are considered a flagship killer. It's like buy the product and then you are on your own. I called "OnePlus support" and I asked them about the battery capacity on OnePlus 8T, and if it's an issue, they told me that I can return the phone!!!! Zero attempt from OnePlus to provide some sort of clarity to the customer. I installed lots of different battery capacity detector apps and I got about 2225 mAh battery capacity reading. I ended up going through the same cycle of confusion.
